Philbrick Farm Equipment

Philbrick Farm and Garden Equipment has been servicing the Niagara region for over 50 years. A Vineland resident, born and raised, Tim Tallman says that even though the demographic has changed from agriculture and farmers to vintners and their vines, along with the everyday home and gardener, the store's atmosphere has stayed the same.

Tim & his wife, Shelley, have owned the store since 1989, but Tim started there in 1982. George Philbrick opened the store in 1956, in a garage next to the current location. The company was sold in 1977 before Tim took ownership in 1989.

The staff know their job. Tim has over two decades of experience, while his two mechanics have 15 years experience at the store each.

"We service what we sell," says Tim, so parts, warranty and service come with the equipment. The store sells two top lines, STIHL & Cub Cadet. They focus on lawn mowers, riding lawn mowers, trimmers, chainsaws, snowblowers and the new popular home standby generator systems.

Part of the service package includes pre-season reminders for seasonal maintenance at promotional pricing. So come this April and May, customers won't be sitting there looking at long growing grass with a lawn mower that won't start. The store also offers pickup and delivery, which together with everything else, Tim says is " to give the customer better service."
